Autism traits self-checks, not a diagnosis
Two adult self-checks for social effort, sensory load, routine and camouflaging, plus a guide to adult autism assessment. No cut-off, no diagnosis, no advertising.
Every page here is written for adults about themselves, and none of them is an autism test. The Autistic Traits Self-Check asks about original everyday situations and reports five patterns separately: social effort and its cost, sensory load, routine and change, focus and deep interests, and masking and recovery. The Camouflaging Self-Check reproduces a published questionnaire verbatim under its open licence and reports its authors' three subscales one at a time. Neither gives a total, a cut-off or a verdict, and neither can tell you whether you are autistic. Only a trained team that takes a developmental history, speaks where possible to someone who knew you as a child, observes you directly, and weighs ADHD, social anxiety, difficult past experiences, hearing and other sensory conditions and personality can reach that conclusion. Use a result to describe concrete situations if you seek that assessment. There is no advertising in this category. If you feel unsafe, use the crisis numbers below before you take any test.

Who carries out an adult autism assessment, the developmental history it rests on, the tools clinicians use, the look-alikes they rule out, and what to bring.
Look for a pattern worth testing in real life. Do not use a result to diagnose yourself, prove intelligence, or make a hiring decision. Each route links its source and scoring method.
