Reaction and attention tasks

Attention and reaction tests measured on your own device

Reaction time, Stroop, go/no-go, selective attention and a sustained-attention run, reported as your own accuracy and response times on this device, never a comparison.

What these tests can and cannot tell you

An attention test here is a short timed task run in your browser: how fast you react, how well you ignore a conflicting word or arrow, how often you press when you should have held back. It reports your accuracy and response times on this device and browser, which is honest as far as it goes. It cannot compare you with other people, because devices, screens and input methods differ, and it is not a clinical attention assessment.

Reaction Time Test

Five trials: tap or press Space the moment the box turns green. You get your median, best and mean response in milliseconds on this device, plus early presses.

Stroop Test

Forty-eight colour words in matching or clashing ink. Name the ink, not the word; the result shows accuracy and median response for each condition and the interference between them.

Attention · 3 min

Go/No-Go Test

Sixty quick trials: respond to every circle, hold back for every square. The result counts lapses and false presses and shows whether your response time drifted across the run.

practice60 trials

Attention · 3 min

Selective Attention Test

Forty flanker trials: report the direction of the middle arrow while the arrows around it agree or disagree. The gap between conditions is your flanker effect on this device.

practice40 trials

Attention · 3 min

Attention Span Test

Ninety digits at a steady pace: respond to every digit except 3. The result counts lapses and false alarms and shows how your response-time variability changed across the run.

How to use these results

Look for a pattern worth testing in real life. Do not use a result to diagnose yourself, prove intelligence, or make a hiring decision. Each route links its source and scoring method.
