What this assessment measures

This self-check reports four patterns from your last month at work or study: energy that runs out, distance from the work, the sense of getting less done, and rest that does not restore. It asks about seventeen everyday situations and shows each pattern on its own scale. The items are original to MyTestAtlas. There is no total and no cut-off, so it cannot tell you whether you are burned out.

Material limit

Original reflection items with no norm group cannot separate these patterns from the things that look like them. Those include low mood, broken sleep, thyroid trouble, ADHD, medication effects, and a workload so large that no personal change would fix it. A questionnaire cannot see your job. This one has no cut-off and no total.

Use the result

Why this route is different

You leave with four named patterns instead of a yes-or-no verdict, and behind each one are the concrete situations you marked. That is the material a conversation with a manager, an occupational health service or a doctor can use. A single burnout percentage is not.

A small next step

For the next two weeks write one line at the end of each working day: the hours you worked, the one thing that took the most out of you, and whether the evening gave anything back. Take that page, rather than a score, to whoever can change the work.

Questions people ask

Can this test tell me if I have burnout?

No. It has no cut-off, no total and no rule that could return one, and no online questionnaire can settle this. It reports four patterns separately so that you can describe them to someone who can act.

Is burnout a real diagnosis?

The World Health Organization includes burn-out in the ICD-11 as an occupational phenomenon and states that it is not classified as a medical condition. It names something real about work, but it is not an illness label a doctor gives you.

What is the difference between burnout and depression?

Burn-out is defined only in relation to work, while low mood spreads across the whole of life and is a medical condition a clinician can diagnose and treat. They overlap enough that a doctor, not a questionnaire, should tell them apart.

Is this the Maslach Burnout Inventory?

No. That instrument is copyrighted and sold under licence by its publisher, and none of its items were opened, quoted or paraphrased here. Every statement on this page was written from the public WHO description of burn-out.

Are my answers stored or sent anywhere?

No. The result is calculated in this browser tab. Answers and result text are never sent as analytics properties and are never written to browser storage.
