Reaction and attention tasks
Keep responding to digits for two minutes, except the 3
Ninety digits at a steady pace: respond to every digit except 3. The result counts lapses and false alarms and shows response-time variability across the run.
What this assessment measures
This is a sustained-attention task in the style of a continuous performance test: digits appear at a steady rhythm and you respond to all but one. The page counts lapses, false alarms on the withheld digit, your median response and how variable your responses became across the run.
What this test reports
- lapses
- false alarms
- median response
- variability by third
How the task works
- Digits appear one at a time for about a second each.
- Press Space or tap for every digit except 3.
- The rhythm is steady on purpose; the task measures whether you keep up with it.
- Ninety digits, about two minutes.
This task needs vision and a pointer or keyboard, and it measures response times. Times are measured on this device and browser and are reported as your own figures; they are not comparable across devices or with other people. If you use a screen reader or cannot respond quickly, the questionnaires and reasoning tests on this site are the accessible route.

Two minutes in a browser is not a clinical continuous performance test; the pace, the device and your surroundings all shape the counts, which cannot be compared with other people or used to infer any condition.
This route calculates its result in this browser tab; answers and result text are not sent as analytics properties or written to browser storage. Response times stay in this tab as well.
