Cells light up in a grid; tap them back after they disappear. The pattern grows and the grid widens until you miss twice; the result is the largest pattern reproduced.
What this assessment measures
A visual pattern span task: a set of cells lights up in a grid for under two seconds and you tap the same cells back. Each success adds a cell and the grid grows from three by three to five by five. The result is the largest pattern you reproduced before two misses at one size.
